London Courier Link – a good idea?

At those rates you’d need to shift 10 cons a day, every day, just to earn a wage Gill.

£30-£35 is a reasonable rate unless you want the driver to delay the delivery for 3 hours while he consolidates a load.

Doesn’t everyone do that every time they go into a city centre? Manchester to Staples Corner £125, Staples Corner to Regent Street £5.

I was just making an observation. Most people charge based on mileage. Manchester to the bottom of the M1 is 192 miles. Manchester to Regent Street is 198 miles. 60-90 minutes extra work for less than £5.

If I was to arrange someone to meet Gill at the bottom of the M1 then would I pay her £5 (+£8) less and pay someone else an extra £40? Pricing by the mile is really too much of a blunt stick.

    Your shed Darren? £40 a day’s a bit pricey for a Berlingo.

He’s not any more. He’s the Operations Director of an international oil company. We’re so proud.

The other one’s a compulsive gambler who’s just left the homeless hostel, where he’s been living for the last year, to move into a house, in the worst part of Bristol, which he’s sharing with six Somalian refugees. Again, we’re so proud.

    They’re twins by the way.
