Contaminated Fuel

Generally all forcourts use the same fuel, from the same refineries, with different additive packages. For example the BP garages in Ellesmere Port sell fuel from Shell Stanlow (or Eastham maybe – I don’t know) but with a custom BP additive package.

I think that Tesco and Morrisons sell petrol with a 5% bioethenol mix which is sourced from Greenergy.

This sort of fits in with what Sarah’s saying about a refinery in the Ipswich/Yarmouth area – there isn’t an oil refinery anywhere near there to my knowledge. There IS a Greenergy bioethenol refinery at Wissington in Norfolk though.

I’ve not seen the news yet this morning so no doubt my theory will be proved wrong within 10 minutes.
