  1. OK, so you know all those guys you’ve been delivering to day after day? They’re now your prospective customers. Forget us on here and go round your regular drops tomorrow and ask them about their same-day or bulk/heavy work.

  2. Well don’t wear ‘civies’ then. Seriously. Dress in your own ‘uniform’ – or just clean black pants and pressed white or grey polo shirt. Portray the same ‘image’ as DHL but without the Ronald McDonald nose, hair and outfit, with equal (or probably better) commitment to customer care. USE YOUR OWN NAME rather than Whatever Couriers – push the ‘personal care’ angle. The best position to sell courier services is as a multidrop driver. Really. The access you’ve got to the people who count is like platinum-plated gold dust. Don’t be put off by your experiences over the last few weeks – January is shit and February is like mouldy shit covered in dead flies. It’s March tomorrow – the best month in the year in this business.

  3. And, most importantly, don’t blame me if my advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.
