Incompetent Couriers

This relates to the first (and only) job we subcontracted to that annoying ‘Network’ member thet phones up for every job within a 30 mile radius of where their alleged single vehicle is based promising 30 minute collections. They turned up 45 minutes late (without pre-advising us) for a 10am collection booked with them the day before. Invoiced us full rate despite agreeing a £10 reduction because the job was COA. It took 2 phone calls to extract their bank details from them DESPITE the original order containing “PLEASE SEND YOUR BANK DETAILS WITH YOUR INVOICE TO ENSURE QUICK PAYMENT!!!” in block capitals. Now I’ve had 2 calls from them chasing the payment that was made 2 days after their invoice was received even though we’ve sent them a Payment Advice.

Yep, very happy with the service apart from those minor grumbles. They’ve received an ‘appropriate’ rating.

That’s one of the main problems with the rating system though Simon. Positives are accepted without question and last for ever. Negatives seem to launch a full scale judicial inquiry. I for one have better things to do with my time.
This is only the second negative rating I’ve given and they’d have avoided it if they hadn’t phoned me twice to chase an invoice that we’d paid after 2 days.

I have no problem whatsoever with people chasing payment after 15 days (in fact if you’ve not been paid by 15 days your invoice probably hasn’t reached us) BUT PLEASE check your email and your bank account first and NEVER phone twice when I’ve already told you we’ve paid. And if you need to chase at all an email or a ‘Network’ message is far more welcome than a phone call.
